Following the Bianconeri’s controversial 3-2 victory over Roma, FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio has asked FIFA to allow the use of video replays in next seasons Serie A.

It is a move Furino, who spent 15 years with the club and won eight Serie A titles with, is not in favour of.

“It’s nonsense,” Furino has told tuttojuve.com today.

“We saw all the slow-motion replays from Juventus-Roma, and in the end it still wasn’t clear.

“It’s all opinions. People could analyse those images for a full hour and still they wouldn’t come to a unanimous decision.

“The loser always looks for excuses.”

The 68-year-old also spoke about Arturo Vidal. The Chilean midfielder has been looking for full match fitness following a knee injury, but scored for Chile on international duty, as well as playing for a full 90 minutes twice.

“It seems to me that he [Vidal] is slowly getting back to his natural rhythm. I don’t know how it went in Chile, even if he scored which doesn’t really mean anything.

“From the little I’ve seen in Italy, he still isn’t running freely. He still seems a little tight.

“He’s a key player for the way Juventus play, I hope he’ll be back in top condition soon.”
