Paul Pogba returned to Juventus less than a month ago, but his name is still popular among Manchester United fans and not only because the Red Devils seem on the verge of signing his teammate Adrien Rabiot.

Pogba completed a free transfer to Juventus at the beginning of July, returning to Turin for the second time in his career.

He had failed to fulfil his potential at Old Trafford and explained the reasons behind his struggles at Manchester United during his unveiling press conference at Juventus last month.

Most Red Devils’ fans used to blame the France international for their team’s poor results over the last few years, but they got off to another bad start this season, losing their first Premier League match against Brighton on Sunday.

Pogba was trending on Twitter in the UK this morning, with over 15,000 messages mentioning the new Juventus star.

This is not only due to fans commenting on Manchester United’s latest defeat. Comments like ‘will they blame Pogba now?’ have been quite frequent on Twitter today.

Graeme Souness also spoke about the 29-year-old, comparing him to Anthony Martial.

“It’s a bit like Pogba. I see the qualities in both players, they’re not up for the fight,” he told TalkSport.

Twitter users are also commenting on Pogba’s compatriot and teammate Adrien Rabiot, who seems close to joining the Red Devils.

Juventus are in advanced talks with Manchester United and are prepared to sell the ex-PSG star who has yet to agree to personal terms with the Premier League side.
