Inter striker Alexis Sanchez has arrived at the club’s headquarters to terminate his contract with the Nerazzurri.

The Chile international is no longer part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans and is the highest earner in the black and blue side of Milan.

Inter and his agent have reached an agreement to terminate the striker’s contract one year before its expiration. According to Calciomercato.com and Sky Sport Italia, the former Arsenal and Barcelona star has just arrived at the club’s headquarters to sign the documents allowing him to leave the club immediately.

Sanchez has already chosen his next club and will join Marseille on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Inter.

The 33-year-old spent three seasons at the Stadio Meazza, scoring 20 goals in 109 appearances with the Serie A giants.

His most important goal for the Nerazzurri was arguably the late winner in the Supercoppa clash against Juventus this past January.

Sanchez has also won one Serie A title and one Coppa Italia at Inter.

  1. Very good player, some merit throughout the seasons, but so heavily overpriced – both during the contract and for the termination of it.
Thanks and good luck though, Alexis!
