Roma are looking to trim their squad this summer and are working on setting up a number of sales to fund their reinforcements.

The Giallorossi were on the cusp of great things in the 2022-23 season, finishing seven points behind fourth place Milan and losing to Sevilla on penalties in the Europa League final.

Jose Mourinho has decided to move forward with Roma, pushing the club to carry out an important summer transfer window to develop the project and try to return to the Champions League.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com took stock of Roma’s outgoing transfers, starting with the sale of Justin Kluivert to Bournemouth for around €10m. The club are also looking to sell Matias Vina to the Cherries as well, although they may have to settle for a lower fee than the previously agreed €15m.

Filippo Missori and Cristian Volpato are both close to a move to Sassuolo, but both need to agree personal terms yet, whilst Carles Pérez has already received offers from Saudi Arabia and Almeria, having a €7-8m price tag.

Westerlo are happy to keep Roma loanee Bryan Reynolds but want a discount on the €7m buy option, whilst Cagliari have sounded out a move for Gonzalo Villar. Another key deal is the sale of Roger Ibanez for around €30m, as Atalanta hold a 10% future resale clause.
