Roma are working hard to secure a Champions League finish this season but are aware that the future of a number of their stars is directly tied to coach Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach has started to develop a serious project in the Italian capital and guided the club to the Europa Conference League title last season, building a strong foundation.

Things have been a little more difficult for Roma this season and rumours have increasingly suggested that Mourinho has grown unhappy with the club’s owners, considering a possible departure at the end of the season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, everything at Roma now revolves around Mourinho’s future at the club, making it difficult to start planning ahead for next season.

Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic and Chris Smalling are all waiting to see what happens with the Portuguese coach before deciding their own futures with the club.

Roma currently sit fourth in the Serie A table with 47 points, one behind rivals Lazio and three behind second place Inter.
