Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi, West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca and Roma’s Bryan Cristante have all reportedly withdrawn from the Italy training camp in Coverciano.

Roberto Mancini called up his 30-man squad last week for the Azzurri’s upcoming friendlies against Albania and Austria, adding Andrea Pinamonti earlier today to make it 31. Italy’s failure to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar will leave them disappointed during this six-week break, forced to watch their teammates and colleagues compete in the tournament.

As reported by TMW, Frattesi, Scamacca and Cristante have all left Coverciano and will not be available for Italy’s friendlies against Albania and Austria. The trio all have minor physical issues and so will use this six-week break to reach full fitness.

Mancini is not expected to add any further players to the squad for the time being, leaving only 28 Azzurri stars at Coverciano.

Italy will face Albania on November 16 and Austria on November 20 – both games kick off at 19.45 UK time.
