Former Napoli, Juventus and Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain denies he will retire at the end of the season: ‘It was a misunderstanding…’
His father Jorge claimed on Tuesday that the ex Serie A star would retire at the end of the season, but Higuain has now clarified his position.
“It was a misunderstanding, it can happen, but it has nothing to do with reality,” Higuain said in an interview released by his club.
“I am fully committed to the club and the day I will take this decision, I will be the one saying it. Only me. What my dad or other people say, has nothing to do with what I do.
“I will be the first one to say something, right now I am only thinking about this club and seeing out my contract here.”
