Udinese have moved to deny reports linking striker Antonio Floro Flores with a transfer away from the Stadio Friuli this January.
Rumours have been generating through the past few weeks of the striker’s discontent in Udine, centring on a lack of playing both through the season as a whole and specifically in the recent top-of-the-table clash at home to Juventus.

At the same time, the Zebrette’s reported hunt for a midfielder is believed to have taken them to Cesena’s Marco Parolo, with Floro Flores’ name again coming up, this time as a makeweight in any proposed deal.
However, in speaking to udineseblog.it, sporting director Fabrizio Larini looked to clarify the club’s position on Floro Flores.
“These reports are just journalistic fantasies. There is no disagreement with the Coach who incidentally has always said that for Udinese, Floro Flores is an important player. We rely on him and there’s no reason to think otherwise.”
Larini then offered comment on reports linking Udinese with calling back Juan Cuadrado and/or Luis Muriel from their loan deals with Lecce, or Gabriele Angella from his with Siena.
“Cuadrado and Muriel are gaining playing experience at Lecce and it is plausible to think they will stay there until June.
“With regards Angella, we are finding that Siena is not using him as was hoped, so we will try another solution. That cannot be in Udine though, since his is a role that we have for so many players.”
