The right-back moved to Los Che in January after struggling to establish himself in the starting line-up under coach Paulo Fonseca, but he only appeared three times in La Liga before the League was forced to stop due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Spain has been one of the hardest-hit countries in Europe, but Florenzi has revealed that there are less deaths and more cured because they ‘used Italy as an example’.

“I’m in Valencia,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Let’s say, in quotation marks, that we are fine here because we used Italy as an example and put ourselves in quarantine.

“There are more infected, but less deaths and more cured.”
