The Italian international is nominated for goal of the year for his fantastic strike from the half-way line against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Today’s Ballon d’Or ceremony will see the award handed out, and Florenzi spoke to reporters after arriving in Switzerland.
“It’s a dream to be here in Zurich for this ceremony,” the Giallorossi man said.

“Being here alongside Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and so many other great players from the past and present makes me very proud and happy.
“I’ll try to enjoy the moment and stay relaxed. We’ll have to wait and see how it turns out tonight.
“The goal has made me more well-known on the world stage and that’s really important to me. I’m delighted about that. Let’s hope it’s not the only goal like that I score in my career.”
