Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi says he knew Marco Borriello’s aerial ability could make the difference in the game against Chievo.

The Giallorossi made it 10 wins from their first 10 games thanks to a 68th minute Borriello goal against a stubborn Verona outfit.

“We had the tie in our hands from the first minute, but we kept smashing into a Chievo wall,” said Florenzi after he came on as a substitute to provide the match-winning assist.

“When I stepped on to the field of play, I knew that the only way to break the deadlock was to serve Borriello with high balls…”

The Olimpico outfit’s victory means they have again moved five points clear of Juventus and Napoli.

“The dream continues,” added the Italian international. “Our self belief increases and we are very happy.”

Roma are at Torino in Week 11.
