The freak weather has been pelting the country for several weeks now, causing several deaths in the north of Italy.
This afternoon torrential rain caused flash floods in the streets of Milan and authorities warn more is on the way.
Italy are due to face Croatia in a crunch Euro 2016 qualifier at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 GMT.
There are growing concerns over public safety with over 50,000 expected at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Today's training sessions for the two teams were meant to be at San Siro, but have been moved elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Genoa – which had been hit hard by floods last month – is on lockdown after the local council urged people to stay in their homes.
Italy will play Albania in an international friendly at Marassi on Tuesday. Ironically, the game was organised in Genoa to help raise funds for those affected by the floods.
