Mathieu Flamini has reportedly told Milan that he is willing to stay at the club – just hours after the outfit announced his departure.
The midfielder is out of contract at the end of this month and the Rossoneri did offer him a new deal to remain.
Flamini, though, allowed a deadline enforced by the outfit to pass and Vice-President Adriano Galliani this week announced that the player would leave.
However, after talk that he could join Roma or former club Arsenal on a free transfer, the Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Flamini may now make a U-turn.
Flamini, according to the paper, has telephoned Galliani who is now assessing the Diavolo’s options.
