Lorenzo Pellegrini has challenged Roma to make this season ‘the first of a new beginning’.
Pellegrini followed Eusebio Di Francesco back to Roma from Sassuolo last summer and reached the Champions League semi-finals, as well as helping the side secure another top-four finish in Serie A.
“We must finish the season well,” the midfielder told the Giallorossi’s social channels.

“We must finish the season well,” the midfielder told the Giallorossi’s social channels.
“It’s important to finish third. It wouldn’t change anything, but we deserve third place. It seems silly, but it’s a reward that we must claim.
“This should be the year of new beginning. [Top three] must be the minimum every season.
“We have to do better in the League and Champions League, but this is a good start.
“My first season back? It’s been nice. I won’t deny that there were difficulties, but crucially it was a good start for me too. The important thing is that we can do better.”
