The team from northern Italy is one of the surprises of the season, holding steady in mid-table and being singled out by Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti as one of the Italian teams worth watching.

It is form that has also seen their Coach Di Francesco recently linked with interest from La Viola, should Vincenzo Montella move on in the summer.

However, in an interview with RaiSport’s Il Processo del Lunedi, the tactician has dismissed this speculation.

“You've got to be serious,” the former Roma player responded, as reported by FirenzeViola.it.

“I have respect for Sassuolo. Of course I am ambitious in my job, but I'm happy where I am.

“Someday I would be happy to sit on an important bench, but I'm not going to name names because everybody would start thinking about Roma.

“But right now all I've got in my mind is the game against Cagliari.”
