Fiorentina have reportedly dived in for Daniele De Rossi, offering the former Roma midfielder an initial one-year contract.

According to Calciomercato.com, the offer is worth around €1.4m a season and includes the option of a second year.

As per the website, De Rossi has an ‘excellent’ relationship with Viola Coach Vincenzo Montella and sporting director Daniele Prade from their time together at Roma.

He would also go towards filling the void about to be left in their midfield by Jordan Veretout, who is being linked with the Giallorossi in turn.
