Fiorentina continue talks with Real Madrid to sign Luka Jovic on loan, but the discussions are around obligations or options to buy.

The striker has given the all-clear for a move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, hoping he can follow in the footsteps of fellow Serbia international Dusan Vlahovic and rediscover his form after some disappointing campaigns.

Real Madrid are open to a loan deal paying half his €6m per season salary, but the details are still not finalised.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, the Merengues are in favour of an obligation to buy for €20-30m.

Fiorentina would prefer at most an option to buy, or at least to make it a two-year loan, so he can find some much-needed consistency on the pitch.

The Viola also have a timing concern, as Firenzeviola.it maintain they won’t get it done before July 1, which is when the new season and financial year begin.

Jovic is in a rush to have his future sorted by July 8, which is when Real Madrid begin pre-season training.
