Fiorentina will have Giacomo Bonaventura available for this weekend’s Serie A game against Bologna, because his two-match ban was reduced on appeal.

The midfielder was sent off for dissent during the 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo on February 26.

He was given a two-match ban, already sitting out the 1-1 draw with Verona.

Today the Disciplinary Commission partially-accepted Bonaventura’s appeal, transforming the extra one-match ban into a €10,000 fine.

It means he will be ready to play against Bologna on Sunday afternoon.

Bonaventura has made 29 competitive appearances for Fiorentina this season, contributing three goals and eight assists.
