Former Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero says he is writing a book in jail and would like to call his sons and Fabio Quagliarella.

Ferrero was arrested for alleged financial crimes on Monday and stepped down from his role as Samp President on that same day.

However, the club are not involved in the allegations that brought Ferrero to jail.

“I am writing a book. I am worried because I have over 600 employees who risk being jobless,” Ferrero told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’d like to call my sons. I still haven’t managed since this situation began. The last time I called, they were not there. Also, I’d like to call Fabio Quagliarella.

“I still can’t explain why all this happened,” he continued.

“In the future, I’d like to create a project for jails. I must compliment those managing this place. They are real gentlemen. They treat me well and are excellent in their job, even if they are underpaid.

“Many famous people I know haven’t even called my wife to show their support.”

Sampdoria are currently under the ownership of Gianluca Vidal who has revealed that there are a few groups interested in acquiring the club.

The Blucerchiati won the Derby Della Lanterna on Friday and their coach Roberto D’Aversa dedicated the victory to Ferrero.
