Reports on Monday emerged that Roma had agreed a €38m deal to sign Schick, and Ferrero revealed the striker was no longer a Samp player.
“Now I can say that Schick is Roman and a ‘romanista’, and for us it’s a shock to have given him away,” he told Premium Sport.
