According to reports, Inter striker Edin Dzeko has agreed a two-year contract with Fenerbahce worth €5m per season, but Vincenzo Montella is no longer first choice as coach.

Dzeko will be a free agent when his current deal expires on June 30 and neither the club nor the Bosnia and Herzegovina international seemed intent on negotiating an extension.

The proposal came in from Fenerbahce and his agent Alessandro Lucci flew out over the weekend for negotiations.

Now Tuttomercatoweb suggest that a deal has been done, just working out the final details, for a two-year contract worth €5m per season.

The 37-year-old leaves Italy after eight years, as he came to Roma in 2015 and then joined Inter in the summer of 2021.

However, Sportitalia note that former Adana Demirspor coach Montella is not their first choice now, as Fenerbahce are instead leading towards a Turkish option on the bench.

Lucci was there to discuss both Dzeko and Montella, who are both his clients.
