Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny assures ‘nobody will see me with a different jersey’ to Juventus until his contract runs down in 2025.

There had been suggestions the shot-stopper would step aside to make way for Mattia Perin or even be replaced by new signings like Marco Carnesecchi of Atalanta or Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario.

However, Szczesny used a press conference on international duty with Poland to make his position extremely clear.

“The situation that Juventus are going through has not in any way influenced my decisions,” said Szczesny.

“I have a contract until June 2025 and until then, nobody will see me with a different jersey.”

The deal had been due to expire in June 2024, but over the last few days an automatic option to extend to June 2025 was activated.

He is one of the top earners in the squad now, reportedly picking up circa €6.5m per season net, which is becoming an increasing problem after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Juve would’ve finished in third place, but were docked 10 points for artificially inflating transfer fees to boost capital gains, which bumped them down to seventh.
