Felipe Melo has committed his future to Juventus – despite reported interest in him from other top European clubs.

"It's nice to know that some great clubs are interested in me," the Brazilian international said on Thursday during a Juventus video chat.

"It means that I am evidently not a flop. However, I am already at a great club and I want to remain here."

Melo has struggled to convince the critics since his €24m move from Fiorentina in 2009, but he insists he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

Melo has struggled to convince the critics since his €24m move from Fiorentina in 2009, but he insists he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

"I don't feel as if I am under observation," he continued. "However, if the club want to sell me then they can."

Juventus have had another tough campaign and Melo believes he knows why they have struggled so much in 2011.

"It was sad when Fabio Quagliarella got injured," he added. "He was in great form and with him the side would have another 15 points."

Juve are back in action after the international break with a tough fixture away at Roma.

"It will be difficult," he added. "If we win then we can get close to them in the table, but they'll want to do well and it won't be simple.

"However, we are Juventus and we can win."

The Brazilian international also took part in a bit of fantasy football when asked which player he'd love to sign for La Signora.

"Barca's Lionel Messi is the best in the world, he'd gift you 40 goals a season," he continued.

"Right now Barcelona are the greatest team around, but I love Jose Mourinho and I think that he'll make Real Madrid the best in the space of a year."
