Federico Fazio believes Roma can have an extraordinary season, as ‘our objectives are to qualify for the Champions League and win the Europa League.’

The Giallorossi currently sit in fifth place, but are three points behind an Atalanta team who have a game in hand.

“We’re highly-motivated and eager to get back on the pitch, as we’ve been training for two months and feel stronger than when returning from a shorter break,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

“We never stopped working, even during the lockdown, but naturally we are missing some match fitness. We will keep believing to the last match, as there are 12 at our disposal to catch up to Atalanta.

“Our objectives are to qualify for the Champions League in the top four and then win the Europa League.”

The European competitions will be played in August with a Final Eight system, although before that, Roma must face Sevilla in a one-off clash for the Round of 16.

“These head-to-heads will be very exciting and we’ll see who is in the best shape come August.”
