Milan CEO Marco Fassone reassured fans that they will deposit the bank bonds for Leonardo Bonucci and Lucas Biglia transfers by August 11.

Calcio e Finanza reported today that the club is finding it difficult to get the necessary bank guarantees for these two transfers.

The story caused concern because the bank that refused to back the bonds was one of Milan's sponsors.

While therehas never been any suggestion Bonucci and Biglia would return to Juventus or Lazio respectively, they are unable to play in competitive games until the situation has been resolved.

“I find it perplexing,” Fassone told Mediaset Premium.

“I don’t think there’s a single Serie A club that has deposited the bank bonds yet. The deadline is August 11, we will meet it and the fans can relax, Bonucci and Biglia will play soon.”

In the meantime, Bonucci and Biglia were unavailable for tonight’s Europa League preliminary round tie against Craiova.

Fassone was also asked about the hunt for a striker, which involves names such as Andrea Belotti, Diego Costa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nikola Kalinic and Radamel Falcao.

“I don’t want to create any sense of haste, as that can put you in a difficult situation when it comes to negotiations.

“We are observing players, we don’t want to make a mistake, as we want to get the right player at the right price. We’ve no intention of rushing things.

“I must thank the lads in the Curva and reiterate we will do everything we can to repay them for their enthusiasm.”
