"This week has been strange, we knew the coach tested positive for COVID, but the most important thing is that he and his family feel well," Farris said at a press conference.

"Technology has helped us. Simone interacted with the team and with us. Practically all that was missing was the physical presence.

"He followed the training sessions live, and the boys responded optimally,” Inzaghi’s assistant coach continued.

"Verona are a great team. They are aggressive and play really well. We must stop them under any aspect.

"We know this is an important game for our Champions League hopes, we won the last three games in a row, and we are still in the race [for a top-four finish].

"The lads are feeling well. This week has been very intense, as Inzaghi wanted."
