Iago Falque hails his Roma teammate Miralem Pjanic – “he’s on a higher level”.

The Spaniard joined the Giallorossi from Genoa this summer, and has been impressed with the Bosnian international.

“Who has impressed me most at Roma?” Falque considered in an interview with LaRoma24.

“Pjanic. I knew him well, but now that I’ve trained with him I can say that he’s different to all the others.

“He just has something more, he’s a player on a higher level than the rest.”

Falque was then asked about the situation on the Lupi bench, having fallen out of favour since Luciano Spalletti replaced Rudi Garcia.

“I think everyone has their own methods and way of working, and they’re both very good.

“We’re talking about two great Coaches who did very well before, and here at Roma too.

“It’s true that I’m not getting as much space, the injury kept me out of training for a month, and slowly I expect to get more space.

“The team is playing very well and winning, so the Coach will make his choices.

“I just have to accept it and work on changing his mind, showing him that he can rely on me too.

“You have to adapt to get to the highest levels, in a team like Roma you have to give something more and sacrifice yourself more for the team – be more selfless.

“I’ve learned to play that way in a team like this.”
