Jose Mourinho is expected to make a handful of alterations when Roma travel to Rotterdam to play Feyenoord in the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday evening.

The Portuguese is expected to continue with his preferred back three, having recently experimented with a back four against Sampdoria in Serie A last weekend.

No changes in personnel are expected among the defensive line, with Gianluca Mancini, Chris Smalling and Diego Llorente all expected to retain their starting positions.

In midfield, Nemanja Matic is expected to be selected to start from the first minute in place of Georginio Wijnaldum, partnering Bryan Cristante in the middle of the park.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is also expected to return to the starting line-up, having recovered from the fever which kept him out of the Giallorossi’s most recent game against Torino on Sunday. The Roma captain is expected to come in at the expense of Stephan El Shaarawy.

Leading the line for Roma this evening will likely be Tammy Abraham, given the nood in favour of Ola Solbakken who started against Torino.

Kick off at De Kuip is at 17.45 UK time.

Feyenoord (4-3-3): Wellenreuther, Pedersen, Trauner, Hancko, Hartman, Kocku, Szymanski, Wieffer, Jahanbakhsh, Gimenez, Idrissi.

Roma (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Llorente; Zalewski, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham.
