Giovanni Martusciello insists Empoli remain fully united after their spirited goalless draw with Roma.

“Against Roma you suffer regardless,” Martusciello told Italian television post-match. “They are a quality team who can give anyone problems.

“If you think about playing against the Giallorossi and not suffering it shows you understand nothing about football.
“I am happy, the team has done as much as it could and has never fallen apart during difficult times.”
Empoli remain in the bottom three following Sunday’s result, having now gone eight matches since they last found the net against fellow strugglers Crotone.
