Genoa Coach Ivan Juric admits his side were nowhere near good enough in their 3-0 defeat to Atalanta.

The Rossoblu had the opportunity to leapfrog their opponents and move to the fringes of Serie A’s European places on Sunday afternoon, but put in arguably their worst performance so far this season in Bergamo.

“We got everything wrong,” Juric confessed after the final whistle against La Dea. “It was a horrible performance in terms of character.

“We got everything wrong,” Juric confessed after the final whistle against La Dea. “It was a horrible performance in terms of character.

“I would say that today we didn’t perform and it is the first time since the start of the year. I am very disappointed but we need to accept it.

“Up until now we had done everything as it should have been done, however today we lost everything.

“Today, Genoa got the match preparations wrong.”

Juric was then asked about his relationship with his former mentor, Atalanta counterpart Gian Piero Gasperini.

“We don’t need to hug each other in front of the camera. I congratulated him on the win, they deserved it.”
