Chelsea have confirmed Italy international left-back Emerson Palmieri will be out for at least four weeks, missing two Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The Brazil-born former Roma player limped off during the Premier League game with Liverpool at the weekend.

“Emerson now won't be back until the other side of the international break,” explained Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

“It will be a few weeks because it is the recurrence of an injury, so we have to be a bit careful with it.”
