Former Juventus midfielder Emerson says a comeback for Roma would be 'hard', but the same goes for the Bianconeri against Borussia Dortmund.

The two top teams in Serie A ended their clash 1-1 yesterday, and many believe that spells the end for the Giallorossi's Scudetto chances.

Emerson, interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb, agreed that prospects of a comeback seem remote.

“It would be very hard,” said the Brazilian. “Juve are a tough team, and with that type of lead it's complicated to catch up with them.

“It would be very hard,” said the Brazilian. “Juve are a tough team, and with that type of lead it's complicated to catch up with them.

“But there are 13 games to go and anything can happen.

“I'm not familiar with the schedule but Juve's draw was important to keep the lead.

“Roma could have boosted their confidence with a victory in view of the seasons' finale.”

The World Cup finalist then went on to discuss the Old Lady's upcoming Last 16 game in the Champions League.

“It's going to be incredibly hard. Borussia Dortmund have bounced back, they were in a difficult period earlier on but now they're fine.

“There are no easy games in the Champions League. Besides, there will be a special atmosphere in Dortmund, with 60,000 supporters dressed in black and yellow chanting for their team.”
