The get-together was organised after today’s conference call of Lega Serie A counsellors failed to find a common solution.
Between last weekend and this round, nine Serie A games have been postponed due to public health fears over the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Week 26 matches – Juventus–Inter, Udinese–Fiorentina, Milan–Genoa, Parma-SPAL and Sassuolo-Brescia – have been rescheduled for May 13.
From Week 25, Verona–Cagliari and Torino-Parma have been rearranged to March 11.
However, Atalanta-Sassuolo and Inter-Sampdoria have not yet found a date when they can be played.
Many clubs are complaining that spreading the fixtures out or even having them out of order represents a “distorted” league outcome, not guaranteeing “fairness” in competition.
Napoli had suggested moving next week's Coppa Italia semi-finals on March 4 and 5 to play Juventus-Inter instead, but as the Lega meeting is on March 4, that seems unlikely.
