Urby Emanuelson was satisfied with Milan’s 1-1 Champions League draw at PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.

Although the Diavolo had chances to take a commanding grip of the preliminary round encounter, the Dutchman is confident ahead of the return.

“The first half was difficult as they played very well,” stated the man who spent part of last season on loan at Fulham.

“We scored through Stephan El Shaarawy, while in the second half we played better but PSV drew level.

“The 1-1, however, is a good result for us and I think we can be happy with our first official match of the season.

“The League starts on Saturday and, next week at the San Siro, we will have more rhythm in our legs. We will do well and hopefully we can qualify.”

Emanuelson, as expected, began the game in his preferred role of left-back. “I am happy and satisfied with my performance.”

Assistant boss Mauro Tassotti said of Emanuelson: “He did well, but found it difficult like everyone else. He has not played in that position for a long time, but he can play there again.”
