Stephan El Shaarawy sees his Milan side as superior to Juventus, as the title race enters the final 10 rounds.

The Rossoneri are currently four points ahead of second place Juve in the standings and are defending champions. El Shaarawy, who joined the club from Genoa in a co-ownership deal last summer, believes that the Milanese side are stronger.

“We are aware that we are a good team,” the former Grifone youth player reflected to Sky Sport 24.

“We are doing very well in the League battling against Juventus, but in terms of quality we feel superior. Now we need three points against Roma because then it will not be easy in Catania, on a field where many great men have suffered.”

The Rossoneri were eliminated by their ‘inferior’ Bianconero rivals in the midweek Coppa Italia semi-final.

“We have to win every game. We are satisfied, however, with the performance in the Coppa Italia against Juventus, playing in front of their fans, who are an extra weapon.

“We were happy with the result, but not that we were eliminated. Now, though, we must thing of the two other objectives that are the Champions League and Scudetto.”

The 19-year-old also reflected on how his debut season at San Siro has gone.

“I’m happy with my season at Milan, even if more goals would make me happier. I’m having many opportunities to play and now I’m settled. I love playing with [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, but he is a very demanding champion.”
