“Spalletti is a great Coach,” El Shaarawy told Sky.

“He knows how to communicate with the players and explain tactical and technical things. We play a very good style and we have to do what he asks of us, because the results in the last matches speak for themselves.

“We pay a lot of attention to tactics, concentrating on the details, and we have to repeat what we do in training during the game.

“We have to be aware of our qualities, we were lacking that a bit, as well as consistency.

“If we beat Fiorentina we can reach second place, [President James] Pallotta asked us to give more.”
