Stephan El Shaarawy insists that he never considered a move away from Milan – even while he initially struggled to win the faith of boss Massimiliano Allegri.

However, as the season has progressed, El Shaarawy has started to feature more heavily for the Diavolo.
“I want to stay at Milan for some time to come,” the Italian Under-21 international told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I never wanted to leave when I wasn’t playing,” he added. “There are so many champions here that I was learning so much from them in training.”
The forward, who spent last season on loan at Padova in Serie B, is seen as a potential star of the future.
“Given my characteristics and technique, I feel a bit like Robinho,” continued the 19-year-old. “When it comes to speed and breaking into space, I’m a bit like Alexandre Pato.”
The youngster, two goals in 14 League games this term, was inevitably questioned on the Sulley Muntari goal against Juventus which wasn’t awarded.
“I was on the bench and I could see that it had gone in by half a metre,” he explained. “The linesman was level with the play.
“Perhaps he was concentrating on whether Muntari was onside or not. That can be the only explanation for the error.”
