Stephan El Shaarawy has returned to training with the Milan first team after several months out with a foot injury.

The young striker has only played four times in the League this season after suffering a metatarsal fracture back in December.

But the Rossoneri have confirmed that the Italy international is back amongst his teammates again, taking part in today’s session at Milanello.

Friday’s match against Roma could come too soon for El Shaarawy, but May 4’s Milan derby could see his inclusion in the squad.

Michael Essien has also been seen training with the team having been sidelined since the start of the month.
