There are many more Napoli fans in Frankfurt this evening than there are tickets for the Champions League game, and concerns grow after nine Eintracht supporters were arrested for attacking Italians.

The Champions League Round of 16 tie kicks off at the Deutsche Bank Park at 20.00 GMT.

Many ultras have made the trip, and others already live in Germany where there is a huge Italian community, reportedly flooding the streets even without getting tickets to the game, or who might’ve been able to buy tickets from touts in different areas of the stadium.

According to Bild and Il Mattino, nine Eintracht fans were arrested after physically attacking some Napoli supporters who were at a bar in Schweizer Strasse.

The reports state three fans were injured, but not seriously, and that there were two attacks in the same spot two hours apart.

Police are also concerned because Eintracht Frankfurt are twinned with Atalanta, who have a very tense relationship with Napoli ultras.
