They finished sixth in the league, and the European place reserved for the Coppa winner has now been assigned to them as the Old Lady are already in the Champions League.

“We’re happy to be playing in the qualifying rounds and starting the season before the others,” Di Francesco told Tuttosport.
“We deserve it and at times like these it’s right to remember where we’ve come from.
“Every year we’ve improved, now we’ll need players suited to our ideas to strengthen the squad.”
