Eusebio Di Francesco admits Roma have to score more, even if “many times Juventus have won the league by winning a lot of games 1-0”.

Tomorrow sees the best attack in the league go up against the best defence, and it’s the Giallorossi who have the meanest backline in Serie A.

Tomorrow sees the best attack in the league go up against the best defence, and it’s the Giallorossi who have the meanest backline in Serie A.

“Many times Juventus have won the league by winning a lot of games 1-0,” Di Francesco noted in his pre-match Press conference.

“We have to improve in that regard though. When you shoot so many times and don’t score many it means you have to improve in that aspect, and we have the quality to do it.

“This is always a difficult game, one of the hardest of the year, even in the Scudetto year [2000-01] where we managed to get a win thanks to [Hidetoshi] Nakata.

“There’s some tension, because Roma haven’t won in Turin for six or seven years.

“Edin Dzeko? He has a great desire to score, but also to make himself available for the team. He’s not anxious or anguished by his lack of goals, which I’m sure will come.

“Tomorrow the challenge between Dzeko and [Gonzalo] Higuain could be crucial for the final result.”

Di Francesco has come in for some criticism this week, after his side were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Torino.

“I don’t care what others think, I want to change this mentality where we make judgements so prematurely.

“I want to create a solid mentality, and we can take Juve as an example of that, but it’s even nicer to do it here because of the magnificent fanbase.”
