Eusebio Di Francesco assures Roma’s glass is “half full” but admits “I’m not very happy with VAR” ahead of Saturday’s trip to Sampdoria.
Roma’s 3-1 defeat to Inter before the international break was marred by VAR controversy, but Di Francesco insists the Giallorossi are on the right path going forward.
“Inter? As a team, we’ve had to flush that scorching but undeserved defeat out of our systems,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“Inter? As a team, we’ve had to flush that scorching but undeserved defeat out of our systems,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“Our players have come back from their international commitments a bit tired but nonetheless excited for the goals they’ve scored.
“We’ve carried out recovery work, in addition to that on the pitch.
“Threat posed by Samp? Their ability to go vertically. The 4-3-1-2 allows you to hurry towards your opponents’ goal.
“You have less width but greater danger on first balls. They’ve won two games and they’re a team with a very good Coach.
“He has a small squad but similar concepts to mine. When I started training, I ‘stole’ something from everyone, including him.
“He started from scratch and has managed to return to a level that he deserved. I know him, he’s my counterpart and a very good one.
“Referees? I never speak about referees and sometimes don’t even know who will officiate our games.
“Maybe it’s a flaw, but I prepare my team not to complain about refereeing decisions.
“In the case of VAR, I’m not very happy with it, generally speaking, but it’s not just because of what happened against Inter.
“I don’t like all these stoppages. It’s like watching a ‘thriller’ on TV, something can always happen.
“Coaches that give ‘advice’? It’s a bit annoying because I’m the Coach and I make the decisions.
“I don’t a problem with anyone, especially the CT Ventura. I try to do my job the best way I can.
“Our rivals? Milan moved more and well [in the market], they’ve strengthened. Juve already had a good base and worked well. Inter had the same situation as us and Napoli kept the same squad.
