“The only thing Genoa did better than us today was scoring a goal. Considering all that we created, we certainly deserved a different result.

“Unfortunately we struggle to be clinical against sides who clam up. I cannot complain to my lads about the performance.
“Of course the Europa League remains an objective after this result. We must continue this kind of performance and see what Milan does tonight against Juventus.”
Di Francesco has been suggested as a potential heir to Sinisa Mihajlovic on the Rossoneri bench next season.
“Sassuolo are a great club. I don’t like chaos and everyone must know the kind of Coach I am. I am grateful to the fans for their support shown today.
