“I’ll never forget that goal at Juve, but now we have to look ahead,” Dzeko told Roma’s Match Program, referring to his goal against Juventus in August 2015.
“Certainly the goal we conceded at Marassi has complicated everything. We’re disappointed because we dropped two very important points.
“We have to thank Mirante for the penalty he saved and we hope the point can really make a difference in the end, but for me they’re two points lost.
“Roma-Juventus is always an important clash, also for them, with lots of motivation. Ronaldo is aiming to run out as top scorer.
“In the Italian League no-one gives you anything, but between now and the end of the season we have to pick up nine points and then we’ll see.
“Certainly Atalanta are the favourites. Even if Atalanta should lose at home we must win, otherwise [them dropping points] is of little use to us.
“There are so many games that I’d like to play again this season… maybe in the Champions League, the one at Porto more than any other.
“In the League, I’d like to play the second half in Bergamo again: if we’d brought home the victory we’d be somewhere else in the table.
“If we don’t believe, it’ll be tough. We have to try to pick up nine points, otherwise there’s no hope.
“Anything can happen in football, we’ve seen it once again with what Liverpool did in the Champions League. In football you must never say, ‘it can’t happen.’”

“This season had to be better for both the team and I,” he continued.
“Unfortunately the past can’t be changed. We have to give everything to qualify for the Champions League, but it won’t be easy because we’ve dropped too many points on the way.
“I’ve made the list of Roma’s all-time top scorers, but I haven’t won anything. It’s a bit strange when you make history and don’t win.
“We should’ve done better and win something in the last four years. This season we should’ve done more in the Coppa Italia as Juventus were better in the League.
“We didn’t succeed and I’m the first to be disappointed. We’ve certainly conceded too many goals this season.
“Ranieri wanted to work on this and we’ve improved defensively, but I don’t think that depends on the Coach. It’s us who must always attack and defend together.
Finally the 33-year-old was asked about his future, amidst reported interest from Inter and the Premier League.
“I’ve always said that I’m happy here and my family feel good in Rome. Roma will always remain important for me, even after I retire.”
