Edin Dzeko has vowed to become more ruthless in front of goal after his brace in Roma’s 4-0 win against Crotone in Serie A on Wednesday.

Dzeko put his profligate display at Fiorentina over the weekend firmly behind him as he netted twice against Crotone to ensure Roma not only bounced back in style but also became the League’s highest scorers after five rounds of action.

“Great start? I scored two goals, but I think I missed two or three chances against Fiorentina in the first half and then we lost. It was important to win,” the striker told Roma TV.

“Totti? It’s always nice to play with Checco. When he has the ball, I must always go behind the defenders, as I did against Sampdoria.

“Do I feel to be on Bacca, Icardi and Higuain’s level? They’re all great strikers, but now I feel very good.

“I scored four goals in five games, but I have to be more ruthless like the Coach says. I will do so in the future.”
