Nice boss Lucien Favre admits Mario Balotelli is exceeding expectations after another pair of goals on Wednesday against Monaco in Ligue 1.
Balotelli followed up his brace against Marseille a fortnight ago with another in the Riviera derby as Nice thrashed their rivals 4-0 to move top of the table, above Paris Saint-Germain.
“The 2-0 from Balotelli was very important, psychologically it gave us a lot of confidence,” the Coach said after the game.

“Mario was important because he gave depth to our game. Now he has to continue like this, he can still improve.
“After some difficult years, he can return to the top. We’ll try to help him so that he gets stronger.
“Four goals in two games? I didn’t expect it.”
