Paulo Dybala partially trained with his teammates today but is still not sure about making the Argentina squad for Qatar 2022.

La Joya suffered a muscle injury in Roma‘s 2-1 win over Lecce on October 9 and has been following a recovery path aiming to return to action in time for the World Cup.

Multiple reports in Italy claim Dybala partially trained with the rest of his teammates today, completing almost the entire training session with the group.

It remains to be seen if he will be available for Roma’s next Serie A game against Torino, but even his place in the Argentinean squad for Qatar 2022 can’t be taken for granted.

According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Lionel Scaloni will pick one between Dybala and Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa in his 26-man squad, which is expected to be released between Sunday and Monday.

José Mourinho confirmed on Wednesday that Dybala is not sure about going to Qatar.

“I don’t know the content of his texts with Scaloni, I don’t know if playing or not [against Torino] will make the difference for his call-up,” the Special One said after a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

Dybala joined Roma as a free agent in the summer and has scored seven goals in 11 appearances so far this season.

UPDATE: Scaloni has released his squad list earlier than expected and Dybala is part of Argentina’s squad.
