La Gazzetta dello Sport reports what Paulo Dybala told investigators in his latest interrogation admitting Juventus still owe him more than €3m: ‘I don’t want to sue the club.’

The Argentina international was among the Juventus players who agreed to give up four months’ wages but investigators have seized documents that appear to prove the Bianconeri made secret agreements to pay part of the money under the table.

There’s an ongoing criminal investigation carried out by the Turin prosecutor and a second FIGC investigation which could lead to another penalty for the Bianconeri after a 15-point deduction for artificially inflated transfer values.

Dybala was interviewed for the second time by investigators this past February in Rome and Gazzetta reports what the Argentinean said.

“I don’t remember when the last month’s salary was paid, but I know Juventus still owe me money.

“When we made the agreement, I knew that if I still had a contract, I would receive more money in the following months, but if I left, they had to pay straight away.

“I know Juventus have the last chance to pay me in April 2023. If they don’t do it, my lawyer will make a written request, but I want to avoid this scenario. I don’t want to sue Juventus.”

According to the report, Juventus still owe Dybala €3.7m and his lawyer Luca Ferrari has already made a formal request to get the money. The player’s lawyer asked for compensation for damage, given that Dybala was promised a new contract at the end of 2021 but wasn’t eventually offered a new deal.

“That’s not what I had asked for,” Dybala reportedly told investigators. “All I want is my outstanding salary.”
