Paulo Dybala will join the Argentina squad for their friendlies against Honduras and Jamaica, despite missing out on Roma’s 1-0 loss to Atalanta.

The 28-year-old Argentinian star was expected to start against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side yesterday at the Stadio Olimpico, but he was ruled out after suffering a minor left flexor issue in the warm-up. Dybala immediately headed to the doctor’s office at Villa Stuart to undergo some tests.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, the tests did not reveal any injuries and so Dybala will join the Argentina squad for this international break, where they’ll face off against Honduras and Jamaica in some friendlies. The games allow the team to warm up a little for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Jose Mourinho will be a little anxious over the next fortnight, hoping his star man avoids suffering any issues ahead of their match against Inter on October 1.

Dybala has started life in the Italian capital well, scoring three goals and providing two assists in Roma’s opening six Serie A matches.
