Former defender Marek Jankulovski warns Lazio that Sparta Prague “are not already eliminated”.

The Biancocelesti are the sole Italian representative left in Europe this season, following Juventus’ extra-time defeat to Bayern Munich last night.

“Anything can happen,” former Milan defender and Czech international Jankulovski told LaLazioSiamoNoi.

“The first leg ended 1-1, a result which leaves everything open. Looking at Sparta Prague’s last away games, they’re a team which has done well and they have the players to hit on the break.

“They’ll find it difficult against a team like Lazio, but the result isn’t obvious, as I see it they are not already eliminated.”

Sparta Coach Zdeněk Ščasný admitted he sees the League as his priority, with the Derby with Slavia Prague looming on Sunday, are Lazio more motivated?

“They both have motivation. Lazio are a bit behind in the League, it’s almost impossible for them to qualify for Europe.

“They’ll go all-out to qualify for the Quarter-Finals.

“Sparta will be thinking of it too, but their priority remains the League. They’re fighting for first place, they’re three points behind Viktoria Plzen.

“Winning the League is more important, to get into the Champions League. We’ll see, it starts from 1-1.”
